Motion specialist Barcalounger and upholstery producer Stanton International have joined together to improve distribution of their products to the East and West Coast under a new brand, Barcalounger Home. The new brand will reduce freight costs on both domestic and imported products. Stanton International and Barcalounger will continue to operate under their own division.

"Wickes Furniture" has been forced to liquidate their current inventory!!!

"Wickes Furniture" has been forced to liquidate their current inventory, the company filed for bankruptcy back in February. The furniture giant ran 43 stores in greater Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Portland, all inventory is being sold off to cover debts, estimated at $208 million.

We feel for you. Alaya Decor was an affiliate outlet through correspondence with Wholesale Furniture Brokers for about 2 years. All ties have been cut, however, due to very negative customer feedback and their high, unpaid balance on their account with us. Owners Jeff and Selene Hill have disappeared, you can even see a local news piece on the issue here:

They owe alot of local customers furniture, having seemingly run a last-ditch effort for cash by tricking people out of their money before suddenly closing their doors. WFB now has a collection agency after the Hills for their very behind account payments.

We regret any use of our company name used to help them confirm any business qualifications and will supply any information possible on contacting them (and encourage others to post any news here as well). We will update this blog post as information becomes available.

Super Bowl XLII is Over! So Who Won a Leather Recliner?

Many contestants entered our Super Bowl XLII Leather Recliner Contest to have a chance to win a leather recliner by Stanley Chair. If someone wanted to enter the contest, they would have to write a blog post including a link to our website, describe which recliner they want, and predict the final score of Super Bowl XLII.

The final score of Super Bowl XLII was New York Giants 17, New England Patriots 14. No one in our contest correctly predicted the final score, so we randomly drew one of our contestant's names to have a winner. We chose Kim Rowley, the owner of SportTheStyle.com.
